Green Meeting

Information for conference participants

Dear participant,

we organise our conference “Bringing the Action Plan to Life, Towards a Fact Based Circular Economy” according to the guideline of Eco-label for Green Meetings and Green Events. Therefore, we take many visible and invisible measures, such as the opportunity to use public transportation, concious waste prevention or regional cuisine. We would appreciate your approval of these efforts and support on your part.

  • We try to make your public arrival as easy as possible. If possible, please support and choose an environmentally friendly arrival or arrange carpools.
    Public transportation in Vienna: tram line 18, O, D / bus 13A / express railway S1, S3
    Travel/Arrival to Vienna Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof Wien):
  • If you are unable to or cannot travel without a car, or if you arrive by plane, you can compensate the resulting CO2 emissions through compensation payments.
    Possible compensation providers are:;;;
  • If possible, please opt for an environmentally certified hotel. The "Hotel Schani", recommended by us, is awarded the Austrian Ecolabel. The hotel is located in close proximity to the venue.
  • Please use the environmentally friendly products and offerings provided by your hotel (e.g. change of towels and sheets only if necessary).
  • Switch off the main switch respectively all lights and electronic devices (e.g. TV, air conditioning, heating, computer) when leaving the hotel temporarily.
  • Reusable products/packaging and waste prevention stand for environmental protection: e.g. prefer open served drinks, food on dishes, milk and sugar without portion packaging.
  • Dispose your waste (e.g. PET, glass, paper, metal, batteries) through the separate collection system offered at the venue.
  • If possible, use digital media instead of paper prints and handouts. The presentations and proceedings will be made available on our website prior and during the conference.
  • At the end of the conference, return your name tags at the information desk.
